Christa Rigozzi

Christa Rigozzi, the most successful Miss Switzerland of all time, is a frequent visitor to Leukerbad in her spare time – she likes to recharge her inner batteries and relax here. Leukerbad Tourism has now managed to sign up the attractive lady from the Ticino to act as the face of Leukerbad in a national advertising campaign.

In this regard, the new winter TV advertisement shot on 26 March 2008 has been shown on Schweizer Fernsehen, the national Swiss television broadcaster, in the late autumn of this year. A second broadcast will also follow in January 2009. The filming was also accompanied by a photoshoot of her, resulting in a wealth of new pictures for the advertisement campaigns, brochures and the website.

On 28 January 2010 hotelrevue magazine featured an article about advertising with celebrities and cited Leukerbad’s collaboration with former Miss Switzerland Christa Rigozzi as a successful example. In 2011, Christa Rigozzi represented Leukerbad at several events across Switzerland. For example, she joined the Pro Varen Cooperative and Leukerbad Tourismus at the “Schweizerreise” events in Oerlikon and Kreuzlingen, where she hosted the event and was available for autographs and photos. Rigozzi, who was crowned Miss Switzerland in 2006, was also at Leukerbad’s biggest event of the year, the Swiss Olympic Gigathlon. For the three days of the competition, Leukerbad and Turtmann were the focus of Swiss sport. Rigozzi also welcomed athletes participating in the Swiss Olympic Gigathlon at the prologue event in Leukerbad

In 2011, Leukerbad Tourismus organised two photo shoots for PR purposes. Last winter skiing was the focus of Leukerbad’s marketing activities, while in summer it used retro images to promote the resort. The summer campaign also offered visitors the chance to win a ticket to an exclusive pool party with Christa Rigozzi by posting their best and funniest pool-side photos on Facebook. The lucky winners spent a unique and unforgettable evening in Burgerbad thermal spa with Christa Rigozzi and Giovanni Marchese on the night of their first wedding anniversary.
